Cravath is causing a commotion in its London, because for the first time in decades, the firm is shifting gears to move to a new office — and a smaller one, at that.
While other U.S.-based firms are taking on additional square footage in London, Cravath is paring down its space, despite hiring more attorneys in recent times. Here’s additional information on the firm’s move from Law.com International:
The firm is relocating to 100 Cheapside, taking an assignment from Goodwin Procter of 21,700 square feet, according to a report by real estate consultants Knight Frank. The new office is situated near Bank and St Paul’s stations and includes end-of-trip facilities as well as two retail units.
Cravath’s current office at CityPoint on Ropemaker Street consists of two floors with a combined space of approximately 25,000 sq ft, according to a 2018 valuation document.
We suppose this office consolidation means that Cravath’s hybrid work policies are working out well for the firm. Best of luck to this compensation leader as it embarks upon a new chapter in London.
