Everyone Knows That Acronyms Are The Natural Enemy Of RICO Charges

Business man not listening to nonsensePoets have a way with words. Tautologies, synonyms, cinnamon — there are so many options available to spice up communication and turn phrases. And while you could turn to some of the greats like Shakespeare and Andre 3000 before his flute turn, Young Thug’s RICO trial is about as timely as it can get to show how flexible language can be. Because if you thought that using lyrics as evidence was a sure fire way to convict a lyricist, you really should have considered that wordplay is their strongest weapon:

Wildest thing about this? THUG meaning Truly Humble Under God isn’t as completely left field as it appears at first glance. He’s been going with these acronyms for a while now:

Imagine the embarrassment of thinking you’ve snagged a murderous kingpin when you’ve merely handcuffed a contemporary theologian!

And like all great preachers of the gospel, Mister Thugger’s message has inspired fellow wordsmiths to turn their linguistic talents toward providence:

They call me Joey crack cause the crack of my ass show whenever i stand up girls in my hood gave me the name 😂 it was never because the drug crack God is great

I, too, have been inspired. Here are a couple of acronyms that may bring light to the gentler side of Thug’s actions. For example, did you know RICO actually stands for Relentlessly Incorporating Compatriots and Opposition? Far from being a violent gang leader, Thug has merely been turning enemies into friends with his good message. As far as the murder charges, murder for Thug simply means Mediocrity Uncle Reset Dolls Effect Rusty. Now, I know what you’re saying — that doesn’t make any sense! Look, I hear you, but have you read Thug’s old tweets? He just talks like that:

If these are the shenanigans we get this early in the trial, you’ve no reason to expect any semblance of normalcy going forward. I, for one, am here for it.
