Hogan Lovells To Welcome Nearly 30 Partners From Stroock, Ahead Of The Firm’s Dissolution

Dollar handshakeStroock & Stroock & Lavan will soon be dissolving, and many of its partners are headed to Hogan Lovells. The top-ranked Biglaw firm recently announced that a group of 28 partners will be joining its ranks in its New York, Washington, D.C., Miami, and Los Angeles offices.

Hogan Lovells issued a press release detailing the new members of its partnership who hail from Stroock, and many of them held leadership roles at their former firm. As noted by the American Lawyer, they include:

Jeff Keitelman has served as co-managing partner of Stroock and co-chair of its national real estate group; Christopher Doyle served as chair of Stroock’s corporate practice; Jeffrey Uffner served as chair of Stroock’s tax practice; [James] Bernard was head of Stroock’s general litigation practice group; Joseph Giminaro, head of Stroock’s tax certiorari practice; Richard Madris served as head of the infrastructure funds practice.

The full list of partners who will be joining Hogan Lovells is available here. More Stroock partners may decide to join the firm in the future, as many are still making decisions as to their career plans.

Hogan Lovells CEO Miguel Zaldivar offered a warm welcome to the new partners. “We are extremely happy to welcome this group to Hogan Lovells. They are an exceptionally talented group of lawyers, who will help us to grow our practices in key areas including real estate, commercial litigation, and corporate and transactional work,” he said. “Adding this group from Stroock aligns with our focus on growing in strategic markets such as New York by bringing in high-performing lateral groups who recognize Hogan Lovells as a destination for talent.”

The group of former Stroock partners is expected to officially join Hogan Lovells on November 15.
