It’s definitely a good time to be a law firm partner. And law firm partners seem to agree, since they’re fairly satisfied with their compensation.
— Louis Ramos, a managing director for Major, Lindsey & Africa, in comments given to the American Lawyer concerning the recruiting firm’s most recent partner compensation survey, based on 2023 figures. As noted in the report on the survey’s results, average yearly compensation among Am Law 200 firms is hovering around $2 million, and regardless of practice area, partners are largely satisfied with their pay.
