MyCase Releases Public API For Easier Integration With Third-Party Software; Adds LawPay Reconciliation

The law practice management company MyCase this week introduced a public API for easier integration with third-party software, as well as two new payments features that more tightly integrate LawPay within the MyCase platform.

By releasing a public API (application programming interface), MyCase is making it easier for customers to integrate the platform with other software applications and share data across different systems.

“With access to the API, MyCase customers will be able to connect more apps to the MyCase platform,” the announcement said. “This will allow for increased data sharing, better case organization and complete automated workflow processes.”

To access the API, customers must be on MyCase’s Advanced subscription tier, which is its highest tier and costs $89 a month. MyCase says that certified consultants are available to assist customers with implementations.

Documentation on setting up and using MyCase’s API can be found here.

MyCase also announced two new features related to accepting payments through LawPay, the electronic payments platform that is owned by MyCase’s parent company AffiniPay

  • Reconciliation of LawPay payments.
  • The ability to recharge cards on file.

With these new features, MyCase said, attorneys can simplify their reconciliation process and charge previously billed clients without having to re-request sensitive information.

“These product enhancements from MyCase ensure billing accuracy and help attorneys remain competitive in a growing digital market,” the company said.
