Oh Deer! Animal Crashes Through Window To Roam Michigan Law School

Law School Library, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MINo longer allowed to join in any reindeer logic games, a despondent deer broke into Michigan’s law library on Friday, jumping through a window and hanging out until staff could let the animal out through another door.

Why the law library? Perhaps to take a little tour to fawn over the extensive collection.

Or maybe checkout a hornbook?

Everybody wants to get into Michigan Law. 😅

This afternoon, a deer jumped through a window of the Michigan Law Library and ended up on the first floor beneath the Reading Room. We’re happy to share that nobody was injured and the deer was let out through another door. pic.twitter.com/Y17bdu46dn

Well, a T14 degree is how you can get the big bucks.

On the other hand, maybe our little buddy here learned that there’s a Crow calling the shots at the Supreme Court and took it as a sign for the animal kingdom.

I want the oral history from the perspective of this 2L innocently strolling into the library to put some work into an outline and turned the corner to see a deer walking around.

This isn’t the first time a woodland critter decided to crash a law library. Back in 2019, a bird got into Harvard’s library and started tweeting literally and figuratively.

Alas, Michigan has shown this deer the door. But don’t worry, buddy. There’s always Cooley.
