Thanks to a still uncertain economy, corporate practice is down right now but litigation continues to hum along quite nicely. As always, clients want the very best of the best when it comes to the law firms that are handling their litigation matters. According to a ranking from BTI Consulting Group, certain firms seem to be doing better than others in clients’ eyes when it comes to their grasp on novel work. From BTI’s Mad Clientist blog:
Clients are being more selective in who they want to hire — and want evidence beyond the number of cases tried to verdict. Only 58 firms managed to move up market — down from 70 just 2 years ago.
The upmarket firms increased their status as clients’ first choice and preferred provider….
These 58 firms are investing more to outpace clients’ rapidly changing needs. They talk to clients, provide early assessments, and help plan for what’s next. They share their knowledge and insight about new and novel claims they see. They shower their clients with knowledge and strategies.
So, which firms are at the top of their game from the most important view of all, that of their clients? The list is quite long — 58! — but any firm that made the list is likely thrilled to be here:
